Description

In Wisconsin, a company must be certified to do asbestos work. An exterior asbestos company certification is for a person or group that performs, oversees, or advertises outside asbestos work (or plans to). This includes asbestos removal, abatement, or disturbance. The certification applies to projects that have materials with asbestos that don’t crumble (non-friable) and stay that way during the project. Work is on the outside of a building or structure.

A certified exterior asbestos company also must hire or contract certified people to do asbestos work.

$200 for two years. State and local government agencies don’t have to pay the fee.
